Here is my first mock-up of Perplexa - 'Big City Prison'. I was originally going to call it 'Sides & Angles', but decided to go against this, and use lyrics from the song we are doing for our music video (Big City Life) to maintain continuity and a theme. For the mock-up, I have used images found on the internet, cropped and edited, which I shall emulate when it comes to producing my final piece.
Once produced, I fitted my printed mock-up into a CD case to see what it looks like physically. I was pleased with the results.
For the final version of the front and back covers, I hope to use a blur effect on the people in the shot (apart from the artists).
This is decent alex
ReplyDeleteAlex. I've no idea where your feedback sheet is so I'll comment here.

Concept sound and reasonably well executed. However thing about balance of cover image. Remember thirds and make sure the cover follows these rules.
The two central panels are a nice idea but you'll need to make sure the eyes are level
The back panel needs work. The picture is too nice and too much like a market town. It needs to have a greater urban feel (not urban as in music, I'm not trying to sound cool). The font MUST be the same as the font on the cover, make the single track 3,5, or 7. You need to create a record label and add the lega stuff. You also forgot to have a spine on your digipak. Add this in and put the artist name, album title and a catalogue code on it.
Also remember it is a digipak and NOT contents for a CD case. The final version needs to be folded together and made. 3/10
